Randomness 10/16/2015

My Kate Spade

THANK YOU: Overnight, I reached 500 IG followers, and I thank each and everyone of you for putting up with my ramblings and hanging in there with me.  I want to do a giveaway, and I've been collecting goodies for a while, but I was thinking of waiting until we are 1000 strong. I have lots of #halloween goodies, so maybe I should do a little something now so that I can get them shipped out to the winner so that they will be able to enjoy them before and during the holiday. What do you think?

CHALLENGE: So, my 8 year old son is a dancer, did you know that? Bet you thought I or one of my daughters was the one taking classes and going to rehearsals. Nope, it's him, this is his 2nd year of dance and he's good too. I'm a proud #dancemom. His schedule is crazy with rehearsals for two different performances coming up before the end of the year plus his regular classes 3 days a week. Even though I am a #graphicdesigner and #visiualartist, and I could probably pull this off myself, but I really don't want to :-). I would like to BUY some kisscut #plannerstickers for my planner to use for the days he has rehearsal or class. There are plenty of options for little pink ballerina stuff, but nothing for males. How about designing some stickers for male ballet dancers? #etsyshop owners who sell #kisscut stickers, how about hooking me up with something. I like grown up looking stickers though. I don't want my planner to look too kiddie if you know what I mean. :-)

THE PHOTO: I took out 2016 out of my #katespade. I also printed some small grid pages and another little layout that's not pictured. The curled and wrinkled blank page is my trying out a template I made to use for the #cameo, but those darn cutting mats are so sticky, when you pull stuff off especially thinner papers, they curl. I do not like that. I guess I need to Google how to get rid of some of the cutting pad stickness. So much to do, so little time... Anywho I'm going to make several templates and share them once I'm sure they work, so be on the lookout if you're interested. I also noticed that the first page in the rings tends to get a little crinkled, and probably will eventually tear. So having a dashboard or some other sturdy or laminated page in the very front is going to be a must. Guess who's going to be digging through her scrapbooking paper stash?

TO DO: I admit it, I have totally neglected my blog. I'm going to do my best to change that. Even though I plan, I don't like scheduling tasks for myself. If I write it down, I feel some kind of way when I don't actually do it, and that is why I tried using a #bulletjournal. The idea of moving incomplete tasks forward to a future time was appealing to me, but I just didn't stick to using it. I still like the idea though. Maybe I can do a hybrid of a planner and #bj. Speaking of #diy, I was thinking of jumping on the design a planner bandwagon because I've noticed that planners are not designed for us to decorate. Having to whiteout stuff, and cover things seems like extra work to me.  I would like to just be able to turn the page to the monthly or weekly view and commence to decorating. I don't want to have to coordinate with anyone's idea of what the colors for that month should be or anything else. That may just be my #monkisms showing or my #controlfreak gene. How about a minimal planner? I'm a sucker or option, options, options!

That's it for my Randomness braindump for now. Thank you for listening... well, reading.
